Teta’s Taboon, designed by Nour Fuqa, shows a grandmother in a traditional thobe making taboon (a Levantine flatbread) with a key of return hanging behind her. Many Palestinians who were exiled in 1948 kept the keys to their homes and it has become a symbol of the Right of Return. The Arabic on the bottom reads “our culture”, a tribute to the role grandmothers have played in upholding Palestinian culture, tradition and resistance.
Please be careful when washing. Hand wash preferable. If you wash in washing machine, turn product inside out to preserve the design. Do not tumble dry.
